A Laundry Room Upgrade

I was tired of looking at the clutter in my old laundry room. In the original house, the builder put in ventilated shelving. The problem with this type of storage was that the room always looked cluttered and I had to close the door when guest came over. With a little imagination and suggestions by others, I was able to come up with this design.

The cabinets are pine with a pickled white finish. They were built about 5 years ago and I'm about to upgrade again. This time around I'll use maple and I'm considering a blue wash stain.
